Isle of Skye Candle Company is a family run business providing handmade candles using natural soya wax and fragranced with scents inspired by nature. Born in a small croft on Skye, Isle of Skye Candle Company now has 5 stores across Scotland.

As a specialised digital agency in Glasgow, Mucky Puddle were appointed to design a brand that captured the heart and home of the company. We created an elegant and natural brand with distinction aligned with the heritage and standing of Isle of Skye Candle Company.

With the concept of a high-end product in mind, the graphic design process incorporated competitor research, and mood boards which led to the generation of several concepts.

After integrating client feedback, the final logo design was unique: an eye catching mark supported by an inspiring range of colours reflecting the various candle fragrances, housed in crisp, luxurious packaging.

Brand Application

The Isle of Skye Candle Company product range is extensive, requiring the new brand to work across multiple colour schema and container shapes, sizes, and materials. This required fluidity and adaptability in application, but to also maintain a brand standard in any given situ on product packaging. Whether appearing directly on a diffuser, a candle, or a collection gift box, the logo and packaging had to work together for optimal positioning and uniformity in the message it conveys. Wherever you see the Isle of Skye Candle Company logo, it's instant recognition and varied application put across this sense of natural hearth, synonymous with a truly wonderful, premium range of products.
